Beep Beep! Make way for energy!
If you were a race car, Grains would be your gas. This group includes bread, cereal, rice, and pasta. You need about 6 to 11 servings of these a day to keep your engine roaring.
The "Whole" Truth Not all gas is the same!
Premium Gas: Brown rice, whole-wheat bread, and oatmeal. These give you long-lasting energy so you can run fast at recess and pay attention in math class. They also have that "Tummy Broom" (Fiber) we talked about!
Regular Gas: White bread and sugary cereal. These give you a quick zoom, but you might run out of gas fast.
๐ Fun Challenge: Next time you have a sandwich, ask for whole-wheat bread. It tastes nutty and delicious, and it makes your engine run longer!
