The Secret Ingredient is... YOU! ๐Ÿ‘ฉ‍๐Ÿณ๐Ÿ‘จ‍๐Ÿณ

Do you want to know a secret? Food tastes much better when you help make it!

Some kids (and even some grown-ups!) think they don't like vegetables like onions or cabbage. But usually, that's just because they haven't met them properly yet. When you become a Junior Chef, you learn that cooking is actually really fun.

How to Become a Kitchen Hero:

  1. Be a Shopper: Go to the grocery store with your parents. Help them find the perfect apple with no bruises or the brightest orange.

  2. Pick the Color: You decide! Do you want a red pepper or a yellow one? Do you want green beans or purple cabbage?

  3. Mix Master: Ask if you can stir the bowl or measure the flour.

  4. Taste Tester: This is the best job! Taste the food while it cooks to see if it needs a little more spice.

The Golden Rule Don't say "Yuck!" before you try it. Just because an adult doesn't like a certain food, doesn't mean you won't like it. You might discover a new favorite flavor!

Activity: The Food Pyramid Challenge ๐Ÿ”บ Grab a piece of paper and draw a big triangle.

  • The Big Bottom: Draw all the fruits and veggies you ate today here. (You need the most of these!)

  • The Middle: Draw grains (like rice or bread) and proteins (like beans or nuts).

  • The Tiny Top: Draw sweets here. (This spot is small because we only need a little bit of sugar).

See if you can fill the bottom of your pyramid every day!
