The Brain Food (Fats)

Wait, do we need Fat?

Yes! But only a little bit. Your brain actually needs fat to work, and fat helps your body absorb vitamins. But fats are tricky—there are good guys and bad guys.

The Bad Guys (Saturated Fats): These fats are usually solid, like butter or the white stuff on a steak. If you eat too much, they can clog up your blood vessels like a traffic jam. This is bad for your heart when you grow up.

The Good Guys (Unsaturated Fats): These are usually liquid, like olive oil or the oil in corn and sunflowers. They help your body run smoothly without causing traffic jams.

๐Ÿฅ‘ Fun Challenge: Fats act like a flavor amplifier, but you only need a tiny bit! Try dipping your bread in a little olive oil instead of spreading a mountain of butter on it.
