Move Your Body & Have Fun!
The goal is to be active for at least 60 minutes every day.
This doesn't have to be all at once!
Get Your Heart Pumping (Aerobic Activity): This is anything that makes you breathe harder and your heartbeat faster.
Play: Tag, hide-and-seek, jump rope, dance in your room!
Sports: Soccer, basketball, swimming, biking, skateboarding.
Everyday Fun: Walking the dog, running around the playground.
Get Strong (Muscle-Strengthening): This makes your muscles powerful.
Play: Climbing on the jungle gym, wrestling (safely!) with siblings, playing tug-of-war.
Exercises: Push-ups, sit-ups, squats. You can even use resistance bands (with a parent's permission).
Get Flexible (Bone-Strengthening & Stretching): This makes your bones strong and helps you not get hurt.
Activities: Gymnastics, yoga (there are great kids' yoga videos online!), martial arts like karate.
Stretching: Always stretch after you play to keep your muscles long and happy.
